We weren't the only ones who were well below average: Albany's snowfall was lower than 75% of all previous Februarys, while Manhattan recorded only their 6th February with no measurable snow since 1869! The 2.03 inches of precipitation (rain & melted snow) that fell in Poughkeepsie was near normal, while the average temperature of 34.6 was Poughkeepsie's third warmest on record.

Looking ahead, Friday we'll likely see some light rain after 5PM. Rain could transition to light snow Friday night, and it would not be a complete surprise to wake up to a dusting of snow on Saturday. However, notable impacts are not expected from this storm system. Any snow that does fall & stick is likely to melt by Saturday afternoon. Calm, clear weather builds in on Saturday and lasts through Monday. On Tuesday we could see some rain showers. More significant rain, possibly with a period of snow, is possible next Thursday - but it's too early for details. The first official day of spring is exactly two weeks from tomorrow.
