…Wednesday and Thursday…

High pressure will dominate our weather for the next two days. For Wednesday and Thursday, this will keep our skies dry and mainly clear. On Thursday a storm system will begin developing over the central United States. This storm system will move through our region on Friday.

…Friday…

With moderately cold air in place before the storm, there is the potential for the storm to start off with a brief period of sleet or freezing rain. Precipitation is most likely to begin after 2am Friday. Sleet will be possible for a few hours before sunrise. A changeover to rain is likely by sunrise. Rain showers are likely through mid-day as temperatures rise into the 40s. Little or no ice/sleet accumulation is expected at this time. About half an inch of rain is possible.

…Saturday and Sunday…

A calm dry weekend is on deck. Clouds will likely linger through Saturday, but skies should clear significantly for Sunday. Temperatures are likely to start off in the 40s Saturday morning through mid-day, and then fall back into the 20s Saturday night. Sunday will be colder with temperatures in the mid-30s.
