1:00PM Friday

If the past week or so has been relatively quiet, then
we're heading into an active phase of the winter.

A relatively week system will pass to our north and west Saturday into Sunday. This system may bring some rain showers to our area mainly on Sunday. Could see some flurries or snow showers Saturday evening… won't completely rule out a light overnight coating.

Monday… a storm system passes to the south of New York State. At the moment it looks like we avoid any impacts, but will have to watch trends for northward shifts.

Still five days out…
but there is still a growing potential for a notable winter storm to impact the region on Wednesday. Too soon for exact details, but the trends have been consistent enough over the past several days to warrant medium concern of a moderate snowfall.
