12:00PM Thursday

High pressure that has dominated our weather for the past week will start to breakdown beginning this weekend.

Saturday and Sunday…
about a 50/50 chance of light precipitation as an area of low pressure treks to our north and west. Temperature-wise, getting above freezing for most of the event, so likely looking at primarily rain showers. Might have to watch surface temperatures for the threat of some light icing, but this is a minor concern at the moment.

Next week…
There is the potential for a notable storm system to impact the entire region on Wednesday. If this system were to be primarily snow, there would be the potential for moderate accumulations. Will just have to watch the trends over the next few days.

Otherwise, next week looks primarily dry.

I will have a full update to the extended forecast either very late tonight, or early tomorrow.
