7:30AM Monday
Going straight off radar extrapolation…
main band of snow should move across the Hudson Valley between 10AM and about 1PM. There is a small batch of precipitation ahead of the main band, so some areas could see some light snow showers develop before 10AM.

Snow within this band is of varying intensity, and there is some indication that the band has been weakening over the past hour or two. It is unclear exactly how intense the snow will be by the time it reaches eastern New York. Best bet is to be prepared for anything from a dusting up to an inch of snow by late morning or early afternoon.

The axis of snow also marks an arctic front. We'll see an increase in winds, and a steady drop in temperature once it crosses the area around midday.

Have upped the probabilities slightly from last night based on radar presentation, however, even if it does snow, the roads may be too warm for any appreciable impact. An early dismissal is less than likely.

2:00PM Friday
Tomorrow we may see some light snow.
Timing… mainly between 7AM and 1PM.
Accumulations… a dusting to one inch.

As for the rest of the week…
Tomorrow's system will usher in another round of cold temperatures. Overnight lows will dip into the lower singles for the first half of the week. Temperatures will moderate as we head through the week.

An expansive high pressure will set up from the mid west through the northeast for much of the week. This will keep our weather dry and mainly cloud free through Friday. It won't be until the start of the weekend that a low pressure will force in clouds with the chance of precipitation.

Will watch the trends for tomorrow's
system and, if needed, will have an
update by 10PM tonight.
