Brief Overview

4:00PM Tuesday

Snow has been struggling to reach the mid Hudson Valley.
As of 4PM, however, main band of snow is gradually shifting northward from Long Island and New York City areas, and is currently just south of Ulster County.

It is unclear exactly how far north this band will make it, but the southern half of the county seems to be in a favorable trajectory. The northern edge of this band will be the northern extent of steady snow, with lighter snow further north.

At this point, probably looking at totals across the county ranging from a coating to 5 inches. In Kingston, a coating to three inches depending on how the main band sets up… there will be a fairly sharp cut off.

As for timing, if the main band is going to affect us, it looks to enter the southern portions of Ulster County by 5pm, and reach about the Kingston area within the next two hours. Otherwise, we'll see periodic light snow through the evening, and totals in the lower range.

All snow should end around midnight.

Update around 7PM.
