December 26, 2013: A stationary front draped across the Eastern US produced a prolonged, widespread rainfall with waves of low pressure. Rain and storms trained from the central Gulf coast, through the Ohio Valley, and into Michigan and Canada before shifting eastward. Intermittent rain affected the Mid-Hudson Valley on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd while the main axis remained to the west of the region. Warm front crossed the region around 4:00AM on the 22nd, pushing temperatures into record territory from a baseline of around 40. Poughkeepsie broke 60 degrees around 5:30AM, remained steady in the mid-60s through out the morning, and reached a peak of 68 at 5:00PM. The morning low was 37 degrees just before 4:00AM. Temps fell to around 50 after 9:00PM cold front moved through. Temperatures fell through 8Am on on the 25th: low of 9F.
