What a difference a day makes!

At 3AM yesterday, the temperature peaked a 62 degrees. This broke the record high for the date of 58 degrees set in 2006. Also, the 0.94 inches of rain that fell yesterday broke the previous record rainfall for the date, set in 1949.

Today we are dealing with snow.

A surprise band of lake effect snow is drifting across the region this morning
The band is only a few miles wide, but currently spans across northern Ulster and Dutchess counties. Kingston has picked up roughly half an inch since 7AM. The band should pass within the hour.

For the rest of today,
a continued threat of snow showers or flurries.
The high will peak around 29.

Saturday
A morning low in the mid teens
High temperature in the upper 20's.
A chance of snow showers in the evening,
otherwise partly cloudy.

Sunday
A morning low around 20.
Afternoon high in the lower 30's.
A 60% chance of snow showers.
We could see up to an inch of an accumulation.
