Another winter storm will impact the region Wednesday through Thursday. This storm will produce an extended period of snow as well as mixed precipitation.
Mostly sunny. Increasing clouds during the evening.
Highs around 42. Lows around 29.
A chance of snow after 10AM, then snow likely after noon.
2 to 4 inches of snow is possible through sunset.
After noon high around 34.
Warm air will begin to work it's way into the upper levels of the atmosphere during the evening. The result will be that snow will begin to change over to a mixture of sleet and freezing rain around 6PM.
An extended period of freezing rain and sleet will persist throughout the nigh, possibly mixing with either snow or rain at times.
There is the potential for up to a quarter of an inch of ice accretion, however, ice accretion is very difficult to forecast.
Lows will be around 32 or 31 degrees.
Freezing rain and sleet, possibly mixed with snow.
Wintry precipitation will taper off around 7AM. Light rain, snow, or sleet is possible throughout the rest of the morning.
Highs around 41. Evening lows around 34.
A winter storm watch has been issued from noon Wednesday until noon on Thursday.
