Welcome to Kingston Snows!!

School Forecast For:
Friday February 24, 2012
Two-Hour Delay Cancellation Early Dismissal
60% 40% 0%

10:10PM Update:

Snow is expected to develop by 3AM, and we may see one to three inches of snow by sunrise. There may be an initial period of heavier snow.

Rain will start to mix in between 6AM and 7AM, and linger throughout the morning. Precipitation should be lighter by the time we change over to rain. Temperatures are forecast to be around 34 degrees by 8AM.

Overall, the forecast is pretty close to the delay/cancellation cut off point. Snow totals in the lower range of the forecast will favor a delay, anything above two inches or so will favor cancellations.

Based on the forecast, have decided to go with final probabilities of 60% delay, 40% cancellation, but again, it can still go either way depending on exact snow totals, and morning temperatures.
