9:30PM Update

Overall, the forecast remains unchanged.
Expect light snow showers to develop around 12AM and continue through about 5AM. Some light snow showers may linger through 6 or 7AM.
Total accumulations will be on the order of a dusting to a quarter of an inch.

Have bumped the probabilities up a notch to account for the possibility of snow showers through sunrise.

My next update will be Thursday afternoon when the groundhogs have made their winter predictions. At this point, their guess is as good as anyone's for the long range forecast… probably even better .

5:00PM Update

Tonight, we're looking at about a 40% chance of some snow showers developing. Any accumulations will be light: generally on the order of a dusting to a quarter of an inch. The timing looks to be between midnight and about 5AM, so if we do see any accumulation, slick conditions may linger into the morning commute. The high will make it up to 48 on Tuesday.

Wednesday, there is a chance for some light rain showers during the late morning. High temperatures Wednesday will once again push 50 degrees, possibly up to 54.

Thursday through Saturday… partly cloudy to mostly skies. High temperatures between 40 and 45 degrees. Low temperatures in the mid 20's to 30 range. Increasing clouds on Sunday with a high around 40.

Some Statistics on this winter's snowfall thus far:
January 2012 total snowfall: 6.5 inches

Over 46% of this winter's snow has fallen during the
