We're in for at least another week of mild temperatures.

It is currently 58 degrees in Kingston. The forecast high from the NWS was 54… I wouldn't be surprised if we reached 60. It is currently 59 in Poughkeepsie.

We'll see clear skies though Tuesday with temperatures making it up to around 40 tomorrow and Monday. We'll be pushing the upper 40's again Wednesday into Thursday- possibly breaking 50 again before the end of the week.

A fluctuation in the jet stream will bring the chance of rain Wednesday into Thursday. This will be an all rain event with temperatures barely falling below 40 Wednesday night. Thursday is the favored day to break the 50 degrees previously mentioned.

The same dip in the jet stream that will bring us this rain will also bring us much cooler temperatures for Friday. Friday's high will only be in the mid 30's, so be prepared for some what of a temperature shock Thursday into Friday.

Beyond Friday is still beyond the realm of any sort of certainty, but we are starting to notice more significant fluctuations in the jets stream than we've been seeing over the past two months now. We could be in for another warm up following Friday's cool snap, followed by yet another intense cold snap sometime next week.
