|A tropical storm warning is currently in effect for southwestern coast of Mexico from Acapulco to Zihuatanejo. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible along with potentially heavy rains are possible in the warned area with in the next 24 hours|
5E is currently under some wind sheer which should limit intensification, however, the storm is expected to achieve tropical storm status some time in the next 24 hours.

The storm should slowly drift to the northwest over the next few days-paralleling the coast. Only a slight shift to the right could bring the storm inland, hence the tropical storm warning.
